Terms and Conditions


1. Definitions

  • “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Wrights Coatings Ltd, a specialist alloy wheel refurbishment and powder coating service based in Lincoln, UK.
  • “Customer”, “You”, “Your” refers to the individual or business commissioning our services.
  • “Services” refers to all work carried out by Wrights Coatings Ltd, including alloy wheel refurbishment, powder coating, diamond cutting, wheel straightening, split rim services, and related treatments.

2. Bookings & Appointments

  • All appointments must be confirmed in advance and are subject to availability.
  • A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule or delay appointments due to unforeseen operational or weather-related circumstances.
  • Booking confirmations may include a link to these Terms & Conditions. It is your responsibility to read them before work commences.

3. Quotations & Pricing

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise specified.
  • Prices may vary depending on wheel condition, type, and the specific service required.
  • Additional charges may apply for unexpected issues discovered after work begins (e.g. corrosion, previous repairs, cracks, or stripping complications).
  • Work will not proceed without your approval on any updated quote.

4. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required upon completion of the service and prior to collection of your vehicle or wheels.
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, debit/credit card, or bank transfer.
  • Failure to pay in full may result in additional charges, delayed collection, or legal action to recover owed funds.

5. Service Warranty

  • Wrights Coatings offers a 12-month warranty on powder coating finishes against flaking, peeling, or major coating failure, under normal use.
  • Diamond-cut wheels are covered for 6 months due to the nature of the finish and its susceptibility to weathering.
  • Warranty is void in the following cases:
    • Kerb damage or impact-related damage
    • Use of acidic or harsh wheel cleaning products
    • Third-party tyre removal or fitting damage
    • Failure to follow aftercare advice
  • Split rim wheels are excluded from our standard warranty due to their complex structure and higher risk of wear.

6. Liability & Risk

  • We take all reasonable care of your wheels and vehicle while in our possession.
  • However, we are not responsible for:
    • Pre-existing damage or defects
    • Hidden corrosion
    • Tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) malfunction unless caused by our negligence
    • Loss of use, rental costs, or travel expenses due to repair delays
  • All vehicles/wheels left on-site are at the owner’s risk outside of working hours.

7. Drop-Off, Collection & Storage

  • Customers must remove personal belongings from vehicles before drop-off.
  • Vehicles or wheels must be collected within 72 hours of completion unless otherwise agreed.
  • After 3 days, we reserve the right to charge a £10 per day storage fee.
  • Wheels not collected within 30 days may be disposed of or sold to recover costs.

8. Colour Matching & Custom Finishes

  • We strive to match finishes as closely as possible; however, exact colour matches cannot be guaranteed, especially for older or weathered wheels.
  • Custom or multi-stage finishes may incur additional time and cost.
  • Customers are encouraged to inspect finish samples or request clarification before work begins.

9. Wheel Type Disclosures & Special Conditions

Split Rim Wheels – Custom Pricing Policy

  • Split rim (multi-piece) wheels require disassembly, special prep, and reassembly.
  • These are not covered by our standard pricing. Average split rim refurbishment starts from £400, compared to standard services (e.g., £250).
  • Customers must disclose split rim wheels prior to booking. If discovered later, an updated quote will be provided.
  • No work will proceed without your consent on the revised cost.

Locking Wheel Nuts & Access

  • Customers must ensure that locking wheel nuts are available at drop-off.
  • Missing or damaged locking tools may delay the job or require additional removal fees.

Delays Due to Stripping or Prior Repairs

  • Paint stripping on wheels with old coatings or corrosion may extend turnaround times.
  • In such cases, customers will be informed, and we are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen prep requirements.

Tyre & Wheel Condition Disclosure

  • You are responsible for informing us of any pre-existing tyre or TPMS issues.
  • We will not be held responsible for tyre damage or issues arising from prior repairs or poor condition.

10. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Cancellations within this period or no-shows may result in loss of deposit or a cancellation fee.
  • Persistent cancellations may result in refusal of future service.

11. WhatsApp Business & Communication

  • Customers may contact us via our official WhatsApp Business account, available through QR code or link on our website.
  • This is a preferred channel for real-time updates, job approval, or customer service queries.
  • By using our WhatsApp service, you consent to receive booking updates and reminders via this platform.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to fire, flood, power outages, supply chain disruptions, or national emergencies.


13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England under UK consumer law.
